I am a federal strategy director for the American Association for Retired Persons (AARP). I get the opportunity to work with Congressional Republicans and advocate for the the 50+ community. 

Previously, I was the coalitions director & senior legislative assistant for Congressman Joe Sempolinski (NY-23). I was privileged to manage Congressional appropriations requests and the movement, co-sponsorship, and stakeholder engagement for the Congressman's legislative initiatives. 

Prior to working with former Congressman Sempolinski, I spent four years with the Harley-Davidson Motor Company, managing the US government affairs strategy and overseeing the Harley political action committee (HarleyPAC). 

Before Harley-Davidson, I focused on ensuring the scope of practice of advanced practice registered nurses for the membership of the American Nurses Association. And I protected intellectual property rights for artists for the Recording Academy – The GRAMMYs. 

I am passionate about public service, having served in every level of government – municipal, county, state, and federal – and in every branch – legislative, executive, and judiciary. 

I grew up in the Grand Canyon State – Arizona. I hold a BS in political science from Northern Arizona University and a master in public administration degree from the University of Colorado at Denver.
